Failure to avoid the following
potentially hazardous situations may
result in injury or property damage.
Use the Edge only as a navigational aid.
Do not attempt to use the Edge for any
purpose requiring precise measurement
of direction, distance, location, or
topography. This product should not be
used to determine ground proximity for
aircraft navigation.
The Global Positioning System (GPS)
is operated by the United States
government, which is solely responsible
for its accuracy and maintenance. The
government's system is subject to
changes which could affect the accuracy
and performance of all GPS equipment,
including the Edge. Although the Edge
is a precision navigation device, any
navigation device can be misused or
misinterpreted and, therefore, become
unsafe.
Edge Owner's Manual
The Edge, heart rate monitor, and
GSC10 speed and cadence sensor are
consumer devices, not medical devices,
and could suffer from interference from
external electrical sources. The heart
rate readings are for reference only
and no responsibility can be accepted
for the consequences of any erroneous
readings.
Use the Edge at your own risk. To
reduce the risk of unsafe operation,
carefully review and understand all
aspects of this Owner's Manual.
When in actual use, carefully compare
indications from the Edge to all available
navigation sources, including information
from other NAVAIDs, visual sightings,
charts, etc. For safety, always resolve
any discrepancies before continuing
navigation.
