1.7.5.8 Head Alignment
The Head Alignment adjustment is provided to ensure the bi-directional print quality.
For CX7300/TX200 series, turn the power On while holding down the Copies button to
enter into the mechanical adjustment mode and print the Head Alignment adjustment
pattern.
Adjustment procedure for CX7300/TX200 series
1.
Load A4 sized plain paper on the ASF, and turn the power On while holding
down the Copies button.

The Bi-D adjustment pattern is printed for each of the four dot sizes in the
order of ECO color (#1), VSD1 color (#2), VSD2 color (#3), and VSD3 color
(#4).When the printing is completed, the printer automatically goes into the
adjustment mode.

The Paper LED1 lights and 7-seg LED flashes "5". In this state, an adjustment
value for the ECO color (#1) can be entered using the Copies button within
the range of 1 to 9. Each press of the button increases the value, and returns to
1 after 9 is reached.

After entering a value for the ECO color (#1), press the Start B&W button to
accept the value. Then the printer goes into the next VSD1 color (#2) mode.
The Paper LED2 lights and 7-seg LED flashes "5" again. Enter the value for
the VSD1 color (#2) and press the Start B&W button to accept the value. The
printer goes into the next VSD2 color (#3) mode.

Repeat the same procedure as above (3) and (4) until the last VSD3 color (#4)
is finished. In the VSD2 color (#3) mode, the Paper LED1 flashes, and in the
VSD3 color (#4) mode, the Paper LED2 flashes.

When entering a value for the last VSD3 color (#4) is finished, the entered
adjustment values are reflected on the printer. When finished, the Card access
LED and the LEDs except the Paper LED2 flash (the 7-seg LED is Off) and
the printer is automatically turned Off.
Adjustment procedure for CX8300/TX400 series
Follow the instructions displayed on the LCD to carry out the Head Alignment
adjustment. As for the CX7300/TX200 series, the default value for each of the
four modes is "5", and can be changed within the range of 1 to 9.

Specification for Each Function
If the printer power is turned Off during printing the
adjustment pattern or entering the adjustment value, the
pattern print is canceled, and the values return to the default.
While the adjustment is carried out, the printer does not goes
into the panel power save mode.
If a paper out error occurs, load a paper and press the
following button to cancel the error state.
CX8300/TX400 series: Start button
CX7300/TX200 series: Start Color button
If a paper jam error occurs, press the following button to eject
the paper. If the paper is ejected normally, the printer recovers
from the error and prints the adjustment pattern.
