11.2 Spacers on support panel and on electronic

Problem: Sometimes the electronic system may be accidentally activated by pressure on the glass or
metallic panel, or it may remain activated constantly. Undefined faults may occur (e.g.,
programme stops, etc.)
Cause: Due to the different tolerances between electronic, support panel and design panel, the
design panel could press with a permanent pressure on to the control keys and therefore
initiate the electronic system.
Actions
Works: Metallic panel : From serial no. 1 11 80176/90177, design panel with shortened retreat (former
4 mm, new 3 mm) have been used. (Only control side, see Fig. 1)
As from serial No. 1 15 80088/90086, 5 off cushion-type buffers (round dia. 9.5 mm) are glued
to the support panel and 1 off elastic buffer (hexagonal) is glued to the electronic case.
Glass face : As from SN 1 22 80201/90193, a cushion-type buffer is glued on to the electronic
(see Fig. 2).
