Selection
1. {Y} i {#}{1}{5}{5} i {OK}
2. Enter the current password. i {OK}
L The default password is "1234".
3. Enter a new 4-digit password using 0–9. i {OK}
4. Enter the new password again. i {OK} i {Y}
Note:
L It is recommended that you change this password from the default
password.
L This password is also used for feature programming via a web browser.
The unit will automatically activate for maintenance, once every 24 hours.
Because this is to prevent the toner from solidifying, the noise that the unit
makes during maintenance cannot be stopped. However, if the unit's noise
bothers you, you can change the start time.
1. {Y} i {#}{1}{5}{8} i {OK}
2. Enter the maintenance start time.
L If you selected 12-hour time entry (page 22), the default time is
"12:00AM". Press {*} repeatedly to select AM or PM.
L If you selected 24-hour time entry (page 22), the default time is
"00:00".
3. {OK} i {Y}
Before you dispose of, transfer or return the product, activate this feature to
reset all programmable features and to delete all data stored in memory.
Phonebook and fax transmission data (journal report and faxes received in
memory) will be deleted.
{0} "NO" (default)

L Disconnect the telephone line cord, USB cable and LAN cable before
activating this feature.
To reset all features:
1. {Y} i {#}{1}{5}{9}
2. Press {1} to select "YES". i {OK}
3. Press {1} to select "YES". i {OK}
Note:
L The counter view (feature #484 on page 58) will not be reset.
