■ MMSI code programming

The 9-digit MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity: DSC
self ID) code can be programmed at power ON.
This code programming can be performed only once.
After the code programming, it can be changed only
by your dealer or distributor.
q Turn power OFF.
w While pushing [MENU], turn power ON to enter MMSI
code programming condition.
e After the display appears, release [MENU].
r Push [MENU] again to enter the DSC menu.
t R o t a t e [ C H A N N E L ] t o s e l e c t " S e t u p ," p u s h
[CHANNEL•ENTER].

y Rotate [CHANNEL] to select "MMSI Check," push
[CHANNEL•ENTER].

DSC OPERATION

u Rotate [CHANNEL] to set the specific 9-digit MMSI code.
• Push [16•C] or [DIAL•DUAL/GRP] to move the cursor forward
or backward, respectively.
• Push [CLR] to cancel and return to the set up menu.

i After entering the 9-digit code, push [CHANNEL•ENTER]
to set the code.
• Returns to the set up menu.
o Push [CLR] or rotate [CHANNEL] to select "Exit," push
[CHANNEL•ENTER].
• Returns to the DSC menu.
• Repeat again to return to the normal operation condition.
Information for FRG version
The DSC channel group MUST be selected before enter-
ing the DSC menu. (p. 7) If other channel group is selected,
DSC operation cannot be performed.
• You should select the DSC channel group before turning power
OFF for entering the MMSI code programming condition.
