Configuring PIM-DM
To configure global-level PIM operation for the "5400zl #1" routing switch, you would use the
commands shown in figure 3-3, below.
ProCurve(config)# ip routing
ProCurve(config)# ip multicast-routing
ProCurve(config)# router rip
ProCurve(rip)# exit
ProCurve(config)# router pim
ProCurve(pim)# state-refresh 45
ProCurve(pim)# trap hardware-mrt-full
ProCurve(pim)# write mem
ProCurve(pim)# exit
Using show run displays the configuration changes
resulting from the above commands.
ProCurve(config)# show run

Configures a non-default State Refresh timer.
Sets an SNMP trap to notify an SNMP
management station if the hardware
multicast routing table fills with active flows.
