Telephone settings

Home area code

If you dal local calls usng only seven dgts (area code not requred), you
can program your home area code so that when you receve a call wthn
your local area, the telephone number s automatcally stored n the call log
wthout the area code.
To change the setting:
Press MENU/
1.
CID or
2.
Press
Settings, then press
3.
Press
CID or
Home area code, then press
screen dsplays the currently stored home area code.
4.
Use the dalng keys (0-9) to enter the desred home
area code.
Press
MUTE
Press and hold
/SELECT to confirm. You hear a confirmation tone.

Press
MENU
If, n the future, your telephone servce provder requres you to dal the
area code when makng a local call, or, f you move to a locaton that
requres t, delete the home area code you have already programmed
followng the steps above. After you have deleted the home area code,
___ appears.
Dial mode
If you have touch-tone servce, the telephone s ready to use as soon
as the battery s charged. If you have pulse (rotary) servce, you need to
change the dal mode to pulse dalng.
