Consumption Limitation: This setting has to be made if the "Power
Consumption Options" → "Consumption Mode" was set to "Consumption
Limitation" for the system unit (first box on the page).
Limit Threshold: Specifies the limit threshold.
o
The value must be higher than the value currently reached. If you
enter a value which is too low, the system will automatically correct it to
the next higher permissible value.
Warning Threshold (1 - 100): Defines the warning threshold in percent.
o
Enable Dynamic Power Control: Enables/disables the dynamic power
o
control.
Default is disabled. If this option is enabled, the MMB controls the
power consumption of the system unit by reducing the performance of
the server blades (using ACPI functions) as soon as the "Warning
Threshold" is reached.
Limit Duration Time (1 - 7200): Defines the duration the limit status is
o
accepted in seconds.
Action after Limit exceeded: Defines which action should to be taken
o
with the active server blades after reaching the defined limit.
Threshold Definition: You can set "Relative" or "Absolute" as threshold.
o
Depending on this setting the adjacent "Limit Threshold" field shows
(and requires) a percentage value ("Relative") or a W or BTU/h value
("Absolute").
Scheduled Consumption Configuration: This setting has to be made if the
"Power Consumption Options" → "Consumption Mode" was set to "Scheduled"
for the system unit (first box on the page). Up to 2 different consumption modes
per day can be set for each day of the week (from "Sunday" to "Saturday") or
for "Everyday".
Sequence Power-On/Off Time
Power-On/Off Policy
Enable Sequence Power-On/Off Time: Enables/disables time-delayed
o
power-on/off for server blades.
Note: If the system is populated with storage blades, they are excluded
from the power-on/off sequence.
Server Blade Power-On Delay After System Unit Power-On (0 - 60):
o
The time-delayed power-on/off of the participating server blades starts
after the time (in minutes) has been specified here.
Participating Server Bays: Here you can select the server blades which
o
are to be powered-on/off with time delay.
Power-On Sequence
Server Blade Power-On Sequence: Configure the sequence by switching
o
the participating server blades to the right window and rearrange them in
the intended ascending order.
Delay Between Two Server Blades (0 - 10): Specifies the time delay
o
from the power-on of a server blade to the power-on of the next server
performance.
Best Performance: Default. The MMB allows all component
management controllers to let their respective components work
with best performance if required. The server blades can work
without power consumption reduction.
