Information / Operation
Enable PSU Control: Enables/disables PSU control. If PSU Control is
o
not activated, the following settings are disabled.
Number of PSUs: Displays the number of PSUs which are equipped in
o
the system unit.
Available PSUs: Displays the number of PSUs which are actually
o
activated.
PSU Dynamic Mode: Enables/disables the PSU Dynamic Mode.
o
"PSU Dynamic Mode" together with "No Redundancy" can cause an
immediate system power off if the last active PSU can no longer provide
sufficient power.
Redundancy: If PSU redundancy is selected ("n+1" or "n+m"), the
o
maximal default available output power for the system unit is reduced,
but each redundant PSU increases the reliability and availability of this
output power level, because 1 or m PSUs can fail without operational
disorder. Three PSUs are required for the smallest redundant PSU
configuration in a BX900 S1 system unit.
Server Blade Stop Sequence Definition: This setting applies to stopping server
blades under exceptional circumstances, e.g. in failover or power limiting
situations. The regular "Power-Off Sequence" for the server blades has to be set
in the "Sequence Power-On/Off Time" tab.
Server Blade Stop Sequence: Defines a sequence rule for shutting
o
down/powering off active server blades. Move the server blades to the
list on the right side and give them the order as required.
This applies in all cases that make it necessary to stop server blades
(for example when a server blade is powered on and insufficient
electricity is available).
Server Blade Stop Action: Mode in which the server blade is shut down.
o
A server blade shutdown requires installed and running ServerView
agents.
Consumption Control: This setting can be made if the "Power Consumption
Options" → "Consumption Mode" was set to "Consumption Control" for the
system unit (first box on the page).

about it when it has reached a certain value. If "PSU Dynamic
Mode" is enabled, the MMB will try to keep the system unit
power consumption within configured values.
Scheduled Consumption Mode: This setting allows to define a
"Scheduled Consumption Configuration" for the system unit for
each day of the week (last box on the page).
Disabled: Default.
Standard: Used to maximize the PSU utilization by powering-off
unused PSUs.
Enhanced: As Standard, but with power budget optimization
(power consumption limitation is activated automatically to
ensure system stability).
disable: This option allows to disable the Consumption Control,
e.g. temporarily.
Minimum Power: The MMB forces all component management
controllers to let their respective components work with
minimum power. The server blades then work with minimum
