To record a new memo
Press the
handset twice.
Press the 7 button.
The prompt will announce,
"Please speak after the tone.
To end recording press

into the handset. The

Your memo is now stored
and can be played back
later. Memos are stored in
the same way as incoming
messages, and the message
counter on the base unit
will increase by 1.

Call screening/Call
intercept
You can let your answering
machine pick up a call, even if you
are in. This allows you to identify
the caller and decide whether to
take the call.
Make sure the volume is set to
an audible level, see page 34. Allow
the incoming call to be answered by
your Freelance XC 500 answering
machine as normal. You will hear
the caller begin to leave a message.
