Creating a Send IM feature key

You can designate a Feature key with the SIP address of a contact and
then use that feature key to initiate an IM to that contact.
There are two methods of assigning a feature key to use to initiate an IM:
• Assigning a feature key from the Preferences menu
• Assigning a feature key using the
To configure a Feature Key to initiate an IM to a contact, press the
Context-sensitive soft key, select
Keys from the menu.
To create a Send IM feature key:
Copy fixed key.
Feature Options, and select
1. To select a feature key to use to speed
dial a contact do one of the following:
— Press the

initiate an IM and press the
