Use the QuickTools Web interface or CLI to install and activate new firmware.
The switch supports RSCN as described in FC-FLA. RSCN enables an agent to
register for change events in the fabric and attached devices.
The switch supports standards-based FC-SW2 interoperability. Fibre Channel
switches that connect to the switch external ports must support NPIV.
The pass-thru module is a 20-port Fibre Channel NPIV switch with 6 external
ports and 14 internal ports. The pass-thru module concentrates multiple
compute nodes into the external ports. The external ports connect to external
Fibre Channel switches that support NPIV. The internal ports connect directly to
compute nodes through the enclosure backplanes.
