rWhen a signal with the matched digital code/call sign is re-
ceived, the transceiver emits beep tones and blinks "S."
• Beep tones sound for 30 sec. and "S" blinks. To stop the
beeps and blinking manually, push any key. When the beep
tones are not stopped manually, "S" continues blinking until
[PTT] is pushed (see step t).
t Push [PTT] to answer.
• "S" disappears and cancels the pocket beep function auto-
matically.
yPush [TONE•T-SCAN•BK] several times until "CSQL" or
"DSQL" disappears to cancel the digital code squelch or
digital call sign squelch function.
DIGITAL MODE OPERATION
I Digital squelch function
The digital code (CSQL) or digital call sign (DSQL) squelch
opens only when receiving a voice signal with the same pre-
programmed digital code or call sign, respectively.
q Set the operating frequency.
wProgram the digital code or call sign.

gramming" and p. 65, call sign setting.
ePush [TONE•T-SCAN•BK] several times until "CSQL" or
"DSQL" appears in the function display.
