*This command controls the format of CONNECT messages. The parameter
value, if valid, is written to S31 bits 2 and 3. The Wn command can be
overridden by register S95.

The modem selects an S-Register, performs an S-
Register read or write function, or reports the value of
an S-Register:

Establishes S-Register n as the last
accessed.
n=v Sets the S-Register value.
n?
Reports the value of S-Register n.
For example:
ATS7 establishes S7 as the last accessed register.
AT=40 sets the contents of the last register accessed to
40.
ATS=20 sets the contents of the last register accessed
to 20.
Terse/Verbose Result Code Format
n = 0 or 1

Displays Result Codes as digits (terse response).
Displays Result Codes as words (verbose response).
Connect Message Control
n = 0, 1 or 2

Upon connection, the modem reports DTE speed only
(e.g., CONNECT 56000). Other responses are disabled.
Upon connection, the modem reports the line speed,
the error correction protocol, and the DTE speed. Other
responses are disabled.
Upon connection, the modem reports DCE speed only
(e.g., CONNECT 28800). Other responses are disabled.
Result Code Selection
n = 0–4

Sends OK, CONNECT, RING, NO CARRIER, ERROR and
NO ANSWER ); does not look for dial tone or busy
signal.
Sends X0 messages and CONNECT speed.
