How To...REMOVE AND REPLACE THE

HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY/DISPLAY CONSOLE

Tools Required: 3/8" wrench, 1/8" hex key wrench
Step 1
Raise the COLLAR from the HOUSING and tape it to
the HANDLEBAR POST. With a 3/8" wrench, remove
the two HANDLEBAR BOLTS and the CARRIAGE
BOLT and NUT at the base of the HANDLEBAR POST.
Step 2
Lift the HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY up from the FRAME
just enough to allow you to disconnect the 8-PIN
CONNECTORS of the wire harnesses located inside the
FRAME tubing at the base of the HANDLEBAR POST.
Remove the HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY from the bike.
Step 3
With an 1/8" hex key wrench, loosen and remove the
three DISPLAY CONSOLE SCREWS securing it to the
HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY.
Step 4
Carefully guide the 8-PIN CONNECTOR of the wire
harness into the base of the HANDLEBAR POST. Lift
the DISPLAY CONSOLE slowly to avoid damage to the
wire harness as you pull it out of the top of the
HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY.
Step 8
Replace the DISPLAY CONSOLE or HANDLEBAR
ASSEMBLY by reversing Steps 1 through 4 to return all
parts to their proper positions.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO PINCH THE DISPLAY CONSOLE WIRE HARNESS
WHEN REINSERTING THE HANDLEBAR BOLTS.
NOTE: THE TAB ON THE HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY WILL ALIGN WITH THE NOTCH IN THE FRAME. IF
HANDLEBAR FEELS LOOSE, USE ADDITIONAL TORQUE ON THE TWO HANDLEBAR BOLTS.
