Using this unit
! Link play is not available when OFF is se-
lected in Music browse. For details, refer to
Music browse (music browse) on page 10.
Music browse (music browse)
You can browse music on a USB storage device.
1 Press M.C. to select the desired setting.
! ON – Category/song list can be used.
! OFF – File/folder list can be used.
In some cases, a message may appear asking
whether to create a database on this unit or
not. If it appears, proceed by completing the
below steps.
2 Turn M.C. to switch to Yes.
3 Press M.C. to select.
A message will appear asking if you want to
save the database information to a USB stor-
age device.
4 Turn M.C. to switch to Yes.
5 Press M.C. to select.
Select No to cancel the selection.
! The database information on this unit will be
deleted if ACC is set to OFF. Saving the data-
base information to a USB storage device will
allow it to be read from the USB storage device
to which it was saved when ACC is set to ON,
which will increase the processing speed.
! The database may need to be rebuilt if the in-
formation in the USB storage device file is dif-
ferent from the database information saved to
the USB storage device. A message will ap-
pear in such cases asking whether to rebuild
the database or not.
Play mode (repeat play)

1 Press M.C. to select a repeat play range.
CD/CD-R/CD-RW
! Disc repeat – Repeat all tracks
! Track repeat – Repeat the current track
! Folder repeat – Repeat the current folder
USB storage device
! All repeat – Repeat all files
! Track repeat – Repeat the current file
! Folder repeat – Repeat the current folder
Random mode (random play)
1 Press M.C. to turn random play on or off.
Link play (link play)
1 Press M.C. to display the setting mode.
2 Turn M.C. to change the mode; press to select.

songs related to the currently playing song on
page 9.
Pause (pause)
1 Press M.C. to pause or resume.
Sound Retriever (sound retriever)
Automatically enhances compressed audio and
restores rich sound.
1 Press M.C. to select the desired setting.
1—2—OFF (off)
1 is effective for low compression rates, and 2
is effective for high compression rates.

Playing songs on an iPod
1 Connect an iPod to the USB cable.
Selecting a track (chapter)
1 Turn LEVER.
Fast forwarding or reversing
1 Turn and hold down LEVER to the right or left.
Selecting an album
1 Press UP or DOWN.
Notes
! The iPod cannot be turned on or off when the
control mode is set to Ctrl Audio.
! Disconnect headphones from the iPod be-
fore connecting it to this unit.
! The iPod will turn off about two minutes after
the ignition is switched off.
Operations using the MIXTRAX
button
Turning MIXTRAX on or off
1 Press MIX/DISP OFF to turn MIXTRAX on or
off.
! For more details about MIXTRAX, refer to
About MIXTRAX on page 18.
Switching the display
Selecting the desired text information
% Press
/DISP.
Creating a new Pandora station
You can create a new station in the Pandora
source based on the tagged information. For de-
tails, refer to Tag menu on page 21.
Browsing for a song

of the list search.

Use M.C. to select a category/song.
Changing the name of the song or category
1 Turn M.C.
Playlists (playlists)—Artists (artists)—Albums

Playing
1 When a song is selected, press M.C.
