Controls and Features

Clean-out Tool
Snow thrower controls and features are described below and
illustrated in Figure 4-1.
NOTE: For detailed information on all engine controls, refer to
the separate Engine Operator's Manual supplied with this unit.
Speed Selector Shift Lever
The speed selector shift lever is located in the right side of the
handle panel and is used to determine ground
speed and direction of travel.
Forward
There are six forward (F) speeds. Position one (1) is
the slowest and position six (6) is the fastest.
Reverse
There are two reverse (R) speeds. One (1) is the
slower and two (2) is the faster.
Heated Hand Grips
Can be turned on/off by a switch found on the
dash panel.

Skid Shoes
Position the skid shoes based on surface conditions. Adjust
upward for hard-packed snow. Adjust downward when
operating on gravel or crushed rock surfaces.
Augers
When engaged, the augers rotate and draw snow into the auger
housing.
Chute Assembly
Snow drawn into the auger housing is discharged out the chute
assembly.
Headlight
The headlight is located on the front of the handle panel.
