Figure 2-1 shows the computer's front with its display panel in the closed position.

The system indicators provide icons for monitoring the
status of DC IN, Power, Battery, Built-in HDD and Dis-
kette/CD-ROM drive. Details are given later in this chapter.
Use this dial to adjust the volume of the stereo speakers.
This latch secures the LCD panel in its closed position.
Slide the latch to open the display.
