PetaApp Linux
The PCU adopts PetaApp Linux as the OS. Sony
Corporation has specially designed PetaApp Linux for
the PetaSite Control Unit based on the RedHat Linux
8.0 ftp version. In the window, messages related to
RedHat Corporation may appear, but RedHat
Corporation has no relation to the PCU. Never contact
RedHat Corporation.
GPL/LGPL
PetaApp Linux includes GPL/LGPL software.
Therefore, you have the right to obtain, modify and
redistribute the source code for PetaApp Linux. You
can obtain the source code for GPL/LGPL used in
PetaApp Linux by either the following two methods:
Downloading from the server
Mailing the CD-ROM
For details how to obtain the source code, access the
URL shown below.

You cannot obtain the information about the source
code.
The DZC-PSC2 and FZC-PABS/PABM/PABL,
software used in the CSM System, use "glibc," the
LGPL application library, which is dynamically linked
upon compilation. The source code for this is not
provided because of the LGPL rules. However, only
the purchaser of this software is allowed to analyse the
object code only for the purpose of making
modifications for the user's system only or for
debugging.
