PICKUP COIL AND PICKUP ROTOR

REMOVING THE PICKUP COIL ROTOR
1. Remove:
S clutch cable holder 1
S pickup coil cover 2
NOTE:
Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a time, in
stages and in a crisscross pattern. After all of
the bolts are fully loosened, remove them.
2. Remove:
S pickup coil rotor bolt 1
S plain washer 2
S pickup coil rotor 3
NOTE:
While holding the generator rotor 4 with the ro-
tor holding tool 5 , loosen the pickup coil rotor
bolt.

INSTALLING THE PICKUP COIL ROTOR
1. Install:
S pickup coil rotor 1
S plain washer
S pickup coil rotor bolt
NOTE:
When installing the pickup coil rotor, align the
pin 2 in the crankshaft sprocket with the
groove a in the pickup coil rotor.
