Connecting a decoder

A decoder is used to decode particular TV programmes (e.g. those of pay TV stations).
Use a 21-pin scart cable to connect the decoder to the unit's AV2 socket.
Setting the channel to Decoder
Press MENU.
Select Tuning
, press ENTER to confirm.
Press ENTER to select Manual.
Select the coded channel
Choose Decoder
.
Set Decoder to ON
.
(Interferences of the background picture vanish)
Press EXIT to quit the menu.
AV2 must be preset to DECODER (page 21).

Connecting to AV3

Connect your external unit (e.g. a video camcorder) with the front input.
Just seize the L/Mono port for mono recording of the audio signal.
Select A3 with AV INPUT SELECT.
