TROUBLESHOOTING

Is there something wrong? Let's check. You may just have made a slight operating mistake.
Alternatively the fault may lie somewhere other than in the power amplifier. It's a good idea to take a
look at your other stereo components, and any electrical equipment you may be using at the same time.
Try checking the items listed below. If your M-AX10 still refuses to work, contact your dealer or nearest
Pioneer service station.
Symptom
No power
No sound
No sound from the
speakers on one side
No sound from the
high-frequency
speakers in separate
mode
PROTECTION CIRCUIT
Should static electricity or any other external factor interfere with the correct operation of your
M-AX10, or if the core of a speaker cord is not held firmly within the speaker terminal and touches the
metal part of the casing, this activates the protection circuit. If the protection circuit is activated,
speaker output ceases, and the mode illumination light, mode indicator and panel light all flash. You
should turn the power off and check to make sure that the core of a speaker cord is not touching the
metal part of the casing. Then turn the power back on. If this has no effect and the protection circuit
is activated again, unplug your M-AX10 and contact your dealer or nearest Pioneer service station.
