Positioning a Sheet Original

Use the following procedure to position plain paper or an original that is
not suitable for use in the Auto Document Feeder.

Raise the Auto Document Feeder or Original Cover.

Place the original face down on the
Original Glass.

Position the original on the Original
Glass so that the corner of the
original aligns with the arrow in the
upper-left corner of the Original
Scales.

Gently lower the Auto Document
Feeder or Original Cover.

Specify the desired copy settings.

Press the [Start] key to start the copy cycle.
