On the command sheet, draw a box or circle around
the area you want to enlarge.
You may want to use a ruler to help you draw
straight lines.
"Read Error" message
This message appears in the display while the command sheet is being scanned if the box or circle drawn on
the command sheet is too light or the lines are too thin, the highlighted area is outside of the readable area,
or the box or circle you drew is not completely closed.
Press [Start/Stop] and create a new command sheet. (Refer to the tips noted above and the information on
the previous page.) Place the new command sheet in the scanner, and then press [Start/Stop] again.

Tips for drawing on a command sheet
• The box or circle you draw must be larger than 2" x
2" (50 mm x 50 mm) and should be at least 0.2" (5
mm) away from any text or images.
• Draw the box or circle clearly, and make sure the
line is at least 0.12" (0.3 mm) thick.
• Use a non-smudging pen that contains black or
dark blue ink.
• Draw a continuous, solid line. If the line is broken
at any point, the printer will not be able to read the
area you want to enlarge.
• You may draw a box or circle around more than
one area.
After you have outlined the area to be enlarged, your
command sheet should look similar to the example
below. In this example, a box was drawn around the
"New Product Announcement Meeting" text. Only that
area of the original will be enlarged and printed.
