11.2.2 Programming the MMSI

A User MMSI can be input only once. Therefore, please be careful
not to input the incorrect MMSI number. If you need to change the
MMSI number after it has been entered, the radio will have to be re-
turned to Factory Service. Refer to the section "13.2. FACTORY SER-
VICE."
1. Press and hold down the [ CALL ( MENU )]
key until the "SETUP MENU
2. Press the [ ( DOWN )] key repeatedly until
the "MMSI SETUP

3. Press the [ ENT ] key. The display will show a se-
ries of dashes.
4. Press the [ ( UP )] / [ ( DOWN )] keys to se-
lect the first number of your MMSI, then
press the [ ENT ] key to step to the next num-
ber.
5. Repeat step 4 to set your MMSI (up to nine
digits).
If a mistake was made, pressing the
[ H/L ] key on the microphone will step
to previously entered numbers and will
allow the number to be changed using
the [ ( UP )] or [ ( DOWN )] keys.
6. When finished programming the number,
press and hold the [ ENT ] key. A confirma-
tion message appears on the display. Set your
MMSI again, then press and hold the [ ENT ] key.
7. Press the [ ENT ] key to store the number in memory and return to radio
operation mode.
