10.11.2 Memory Scanning ( M-SCAN )
1. Adjust the SQL knob until background noise disappears.
2. Select a desired channel to be scanned using the [ ( UP )] / [ ( DOWN )]
keys.
3. Press and hold the [ SCAN ( MEM )] key until "MEM" is shown on the LCD
which indicates the channel has been programmed
into the transceivers memory.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all the desired channels
to be scanned.
5. To DELETE a channel from the transceiver's memory, select the channel
then press and hold the [ SCAN ( MEM )] key until "MEM" disappears from
the LCD.
6. To start scanning, just press the [ SCAN ( MEM )] key momentarily. "

the lowest to the highest programmed channel
number and will stop on a channel when a trans-
mission is received.
7. The channel number will blink during reception.
8. To stop scanning, press the [ 16/9 ] or [ CLR ( WX )] key.
10.11.3 Priority Scanning ( P-SCAN )
In the default setting, Channel 16 is set as the priority channel. You may change
the priority channel to another channel from Channel 16 in the Radio Setup
Mode, refer to section "12.5 PRIORITY CHANNEL SET."
1. Adjust the SQL knob until background noise disappears.
2. Select a desired channel to be scanned using the [ ( UP )] / [ ( DOWN )]
keys.
3. Press and hold the [ SCAN ( MEM )] key until "MEM" is shown on the display
which indicates the channel has been programmed
into the transceivers memory.
4. Repeat step 2 for all the desired channels to be
scanned.
5. To DELETE a channel from the transceiver's memory, select the channel
then press and hold the [ SCAN ( MEM )] key until "MEM" disappears from
the LCD.
6. To start priority scanning, just press the
[ SCAN ( MEM )] key momentarily. "P-SCAN
on the LCD. Scanning will proceed between the
memorized channels and the priority channel. The
