Sensor Foot Pressure

When selecting different fabric weights on the
Sewing Advisor, the presser foot pressure will
be ad just ed au to mat i cal ly. Thanks to the Sensor
Foot Pres sure, the presser foot actually senses the
thick ness of fabric or stitching (or em broi dery).
Therefore Quilt Designer II always sews smooth ly
and even ly.
Touch
on the display and you will see the
actual setting of the pres ser foot pressure for the
selected fab ric.
You can adjust the presser foot pressure by pres sing
the button
The higher the number the more pres sure on the
fabric.

Sensor Foot Lift

The presser foot is automatically lowered when you
start your sewing.
When you stop with the needle in the down
position, the pres ser foot is automatically lifted to
pivot position.
If you have selected Needle stop up:
- Raises the pres ser foot and the needle to up
po si tion. Touch twice for ex tra lift. Makes it eas i er to
get thick fabrics under the pres ser foot.
If you have selected Needle stop down:
- Raises the presser foot to up position but the
needle stays down in the fabric. Touch twice and the
needle raises to up po si tion and the pres ser foot to
the extra lift. This make the
removal of fabric easier.
- Sets foot to pivot position.
- Lowers the presser foot.

Lowering the Feed Teeth

The feed teeth are lowered when you turn the dial
on the front of the free arm to the left
the dial to the right
teeth. The feed teeth will raise as you begin to sew.
The feed teeth should be lowered when sew ing
buttons and free-motion work.
By lowering the feed teeth it is eas i er to get
thick terry cloth fabric un der the preser foot.
Raise the feed teeth be fore star ting to sew.
