Notice to users planning to use the FMV PACK (CF-VEV611)
with the CF-61KXF4BAM or CF-61KXF4BAE
Follow the procedure below to install the software
Do NOT follow the procedure described in "Installing the Software" contained in the Operating
Instructions which accompany the FMV PACK since these steps will not properly install the
software.
Installing the Software
Install the FDD Pack in the Multimedia Pocket.
Turn on the power. (Windows starts up automatically.)
Insert the disk labeled "FMV PACK Setup Disk" into the floppy disk drive.
Click the [Start]-[Run], and then type as shown below inside the frame and click [OK].
Open: c:\util\avapp\fmv61a
Follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE
The message shown on the right may appear while the instal-
lation is in progress or when the computer has been rebooted.
Click "Don't ask the question again," add the check mark(
and select "No."
To play MPEG data, select [Start] - [Program] - [Accessories] - [Multimedia] - [Media
Player], select "Real Magic..." from the "Device" menu, and designate the file.
If an attempt is made to play the MPEG data directly by double-clicking the MPEG file in
My Computer or Explorer, etc., the data will be played not by the FMV PACK but by the
Windows standard "ActiveMovie" instead.
Using the settings listed below to play the MPEG data makes it pos-
sible for this computer to produce even smoother pictures.
In the Internal LCD or Simultaneous (Internal LCD and External CRT) display mode:

The refresh rate is set as follows:
[Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Display] - [Settings] - [Advanced Properties] - [Adapter].
It may not be possible to set some refresh rate values depending on the display which is used.
