Red battery indicator flashes on
and off.
Status LCD displays an error

red for a long time.

from PD drive.
Check to see that the AC adaptor and battery pack are both correctly connected. If
the indicator flashes red even after reconnecting them, contact your nearest
Panasonic Service Center.
Fully charge the battery pack, switch on the computer, disconnect the AC adaptor,
and allow the battery pack to discharge completely.
The CPU processing speed slows automatically to protect the CPU from overheat-
ing. The CPU will return to its normal processing speed once it cools off.
If an image displayed for a prolonged period of time, an afterimage may appear.
This is not a malfunction. The afterimage will disappear when a different screen is
displayed.
Click [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panal]-[Mouse]-[Motion] and check [Show pointer
trails].
Make sure the floppy disk has been inserted correctly.
Make sure the floppy disk has been correctly initialized.
Make sure the floppy disk drive has been installed properly.
Make sure the Setup program has been used to disable the floppy disk drive.
The write protect tab on the floppy disk engaged might be set.
Make sure the correct command and parameters have been selected.
Contact your nearest Panasonic Service Center.
The PD cartridge or CD may not have been properly loaded.
The keyboard may not be closed.
The necessary device driver may not have been installed.
Power to the PD/CD drive been turned off using the WPDPOWER/WCDPOWER
program.
When the system is entered the suspend or hibernation mode during the PD/CD
drive power is off by WPDPOWER/WCDPOWER program, it will be necessary
to enter the suspend or hibernation mode and perform resume again after the PD/
CD drive is turned on by WPDPOWER/WCDPOWER program.
The PD/CD eject button is disabled if the computer is booted from the PD

drive. Press Fn and the power switch to power your computer off. Power on the
computer once again and, while the memory count is being displayed, press
At this point, press the PD/CD eject button.
When the computer is being turned off, the PD/CD eject button will not work.
Power to the PD/CD drive may have been turned off using the WPDPOWER/
WCDPOWER program.
The PD cartridge may not have been set correctly.
The PD cartridge may not have been correctly initialized.
Has the Setup program been used to boot up from the PD drive?
A floppy disk may be inserted. Please remove it.
