Based on passive Midplane boards which allow the IB differential signals, control signals
and power connectivity between the different boards in the chassis.
Cables for InfiniBand, management, and power all located at the rear.
Four slots of fabric boards in front and 12 slots for a combination of line boards/router
blades drawer in the rear.
Up to four hot-swappable fabric boards (sFB-12), which support the switching FAT Tree
topology and provide the following features:
• Hot-swappable operation with no traffic disruptions.
• 2Kbit I²C controlled EEPROM's to store the InfiniScale III ERP (Embedded RISC
processor) code.
• On board temperature monitoring reported to the management system.
• Indicators:
— Port physical connectivity and logical connectivity LEDs
— Power, information, and hot-swap LEDs on boards.
Two hot swappable (sMB) board including a CPU Mezzanine. On board Temperature
monitoring reported to optional Management system.
• InfiniBand managers:
— Subnet manager
— Subnet administrator
