TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM
General
Circuit breaker trips or fuse
blows when unit is turned on
Unit turns on or off by itself
Lights dim in room while the unit
is on
Power cord gets warm
Appearance
Fireplace does not turn on Manu-

Fireplace does not turn on with
the Remote Control
Flame Frozen
Flame is not visible

CAUSE
Short in unit wiring.
Improper circuit current rating
Remote control has a similar frequency
to other remotes in the area.
Radio frequency disturbance from out-
side sources.
Defective Remote Control Receiver
Unit is drawing close to circuit current
rating
Normal Operation
Defective power cord
Improper operation
No incoming voltage from the electrical
wall socket
Loose wiring
Defective 3 Position Switch
Defective Remote Control Receiver
Improper operation
Remote control not initialized to fireplace
The batteries in the remote control are
dead.

LED light assembly is not working

SOLUTION
Trace wiring in unit.
Additional appliances may exceed the current rating
of the circuit breaker or fuse. Plug unit into another
outlet or install unit on a dedicated 15 amp circuit.
The remote control and the remote control receiver
needs to be replaced. Reinitialize the remote control
to the remote control receiver after installation.
Move the unit to another outlet or install unit on a dedi-
cated 15 amp circuit
The power cord may get slightly warm to the touch
when the heater is on
Replace power cord if cord gets hot to the touch.
Refer to Operation Section
Check Fuse/Breaker Panel
Check wiring connections
Replace 3 Position switch
The remote control and the remote control receiver
needs to be replaced. Reinitialize the remote control
to the remote control receiver after installation.
Refer to Operation Section
Initialize the remote control
Install new battery into the remote control Reinitalize
remote if necessary
Replace Remote Control and Remote Control Re-
ceiver, reinitialize
Check wiring connections
Replace Flicker Motor
Check wiring connections
Replace LED light assembly
Replace LED driver board
Replace Flicker Motor
