Brakes
Front Hydraulic Disk brake inspection
1.
Inspectfront disk brakecaliper(1)for leakage.If brakefluid leaks,the safety
of ridingcouldbe affected.
2.
Inspectthe brakeshoes(2) for cracks,and thejoint for leakage.
3.
Checkthe brakefluid levelthroughthesighthole (3) underplasticcowling.
Removeplasticcowling(4). If level isat or belowthe LOWERmark,inspect
brakepadsfor wearand hydraulic systemfor leaks.
4.
To add brakefluid, unscrewthe 2 screws(5) on top of the brakefluid reservoir
locatedundertop plasticcowling.Add DOT3or DOT4brakefluid. Do not mix
brakefluid types.
Adjustment of Rear Brake
1.
To makerear brakeadjustment,
turnrear adjustingnut (1)
clockwiseto increaseand
counterclockwiseto reduce
tensionon thebrakecable.
2.
Brakeshoesshouldbe replaced
by a qualified servicetechnician
onceworn.
