Checking and Changing engine oil
• Checking engine oil
Removeengineoildip stickcap (1).
Checkoil levelon dipstick. Addoil
if below3/4 full. Referto page 12for
correctengineoil type.
° Changing engine oil
Todrain oldengineoil, placecatch
basinunderengineand unscrew
drainplug (1)locatedon bottomleft
sideof engine. Drainengineoil into
propercatchbasin. Disposeof oil
properlyat oil reclaimfacility.
° Cleaning oil filter
Drainengineoil per instructions above.
Removeoilfilter plug (1) locatedat bottom
rightside of engine. Remove screenfilter
(2) from springassembly. Cleanscreen
with solvent. Re-install f ilter and refillwith
1 qt. oil. Referto page12 for correctengine
oiltype.
_ILCAUTION
Neverstartthe enginewhenthere is
insufficient lubricating oil. Otherwise,
it will causeharmto the engine.
