36. TOOLS

Press this button to access the utility and user-pref-
erence menus for setting up items such as Tuner Mute,
Tuning Reference, Wah Type, Treadle Function, Loop
Recorder, LCD Contrast and Brightness, and Firmware
Version information.
Tuner Mute:
Tuning Reference:
Useful when you need to tune to another
instrument that isn't tuned to concert pitch.
Wah Type:
Treadle Func: Treadle function assignment
Loop Recorder: Enables or disables the PB-1
LCD Contrast: 0 to 24, in steps of 1
LCD Brightness: 0 to 7, in steps of 1

37. OUTPUT POWER

The Output Power switch is an eight-position switch that
determines the output power limit of the amplifier. This
allows you to control the overall system volume level, and
also to determine the overload point of the power amplifier.
The eight switch positions are labeled 120, 60, 30, 16,
8, 4, 2, and 1 Watts. As the output power setting is de-
creased, the overall volume decreases accordingly and
the power amplifier response becomes "spongier," in the
same way that a low-power vacuum tube output stage
responds when driven hard.

38. MAINS Switch

Use this to turn the amplifier on and off. The cool blue
light next to the switch lights when the amplifier is on.
