nslookup - refer to the DNS server for the host
SYNOPSIS
nslookup hostname
nslookup -h
DESCRIPTION
nslookup(8) refers to the DNS server for the host.
The following information is displayed:
Server
Address
Name
Address
Privileges
You must have one of the following privileges to run this command:
useradm, platadm, platop, auditadm, auditop, domainadm, domainmgr,
domainop, fieldeng
Refer to setprivileges(8) for more information.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-h
The following operand is supported:
OPERANDS
hostname
EXAMPLES
EXAMPLE 1
DNS server name
IP address of DNS server
Specified host name
IP address of the host name
Displays usage statement. When used with other options or
operands, an error occurs.
Specifies the host name to be referred. A Fully Qualified Domain
Name (FQDN) or a short form of the name can be specified.
Displays the host whose host name is scf0-hostname0.
nslookup scf0-hostname0
