Safety Notes
With specific regard to laser safety, the equipment complies with performance standards for laser
products set by government, national and international agencies as a Class 1 laser product. It does not
emit hazardous light, as the beam is totally enclosed during all phases of customer operation and
maintenance.
Always follow all warnings and instructions that are marked on or supplied with the equipment.
Do not override or disable electrical or mechanical interlocks. Do not place a magnet near the safety
switch of the machine. A magnet can activate the machine accidentally, resulting in injuries.
When removing jammed paper, do not try to remove paper or paper piece deep inside the machine.
Also, do not try to remove paper wrapped around the heat roller. It can cause injury or burn.
Switch off the machine immediately and contact your Fuji Xerox Customer Support Center.
Do not apply excessive force to press a thick document against the platen glass when you make a
copy of it. The glass may break.
If the machine needs to be moved to a different location, contact a Fuji Xerox Service Representative
or your authorized local representative or service support organization.
Extended use in poorly ventilated rooms or mass copying raises the concern of odor such as ozone,
which affects the comfort in the office environment. Furthermore, proper ventilation should be
ensured as chemical substances are emitted during printing.
Do not perform any maintenance procedures unless you have been trained to do them by an
authorized local dealer or unless a procedure is specifically described in the customer documentation.
Do not stare into lamp light when you see an original on a platen glass with a platen cover
open.Otherwise, you may get eye strain or hurt.
