Meaning
The port is not monitored; in other
words, if a link is not established
at the port, this does not trigger
the signaling contact.
Port is monitored; in other words,
if there is no link established at
the port (for example cable not
plugged in or connected device
turned off), this triggers the sig-
naling contact and the fault state
is adopted.
