The Operator Panel consists of five buttons and an LCD
Status Display.

Indicator Light

The Go/Continue button on the Operator Panel also
functions as an Indicator Light and communicates the status
of the printer.
Light Mode
Ready On Printer is in the online state.
(Green)
Off Printer is in the offline state.
Blinking Printer is busy processing a print job
or waiting for more data to complete
the current print job.
Error On Printer has detected an error
(Amber) condition requiring immediate user
intervention to correct.
Blinking Printer has detected an alert
condition which, if ignored, could
become more serious.

Status

Operator Panel Buttons

The Operator Panel buttons perform different functions
depending on whether the printer is online, offline, or in
menu mode.
Button
Go/Continue Toggles the printer between the online and
offline states.
Provides the printer with an indication that the
user has reacted to a specific LCD prompt
message.
Select/Cancel In the offline state this button is used to save a
parameter setting for a specific item in the
menu.
In the online state this button is used to cancel
a print job.
Menu Cycles through the first level of menu
selections. The right arrow moves you forward
through the menu. The left arrow moves you
backward through the menu.
Item Cycles through the second level of menu
selections. The right arrow moves you forward
and the left arrow moves you backward
through the selected menu's items.
Value Scrolls to the next or previous value for the
currently displayed menu item.
The "+" sign moves you to the next value of the
selected item's values.
The "-" sign moves you to the previous value of
the selected item's values.
An asterisk (*) at the right of the selection on
the Status Display is used to indicate the saved
value.
