SuperScript 1800 Series — User's Guide
Explanation
TRAY1 / TRAY1-M
(Multipurpose Tray) default
paper size choices.
note:
The PAPER SIZE
setting identifies the default
media size for each tray. It is
important to select the
correct paper size from the
menu when using trays.
This menu item determines the
number of copies printed for
each page. The printer does not
automatically collate the copies.
For example, if you send three
pages to print and set COPIES to
2, the printer prints page 1, page
1, page 2, page 2, page 3, page 3.
This menu item determines how
the printing is oriented on the
page.
PORT (Portrait) means the
printing is parallel to the short
edge of the paper.
LAND (Landscape) means the
printing is parallel to the long
edge of the paper.

default paper tray.
AUTO means the printer feeds
print material from another tray
when one tray is empty. If you
are using the same size and type
of printer material in all the
trays, the trays are automatically
linked.
TRAY1 means the printer feeds
from the Multipurpose Tray
unless it is empty or closed.
TRAY1-M is used when
manually feeding envelopes or
other media through the
Multipurpose Tray.
TRAY2 means the printer feeds
from the standard Cassette Tray
unless it is empty.
TRAY3 is available only it the
500-sheet 2nd Cassette is
installed.
This menu item lets you select
the top margin of the print
materials. Units are in inches.
note:
Adjusting the top
margin does not affect the
maximum printable area.
Instead it shifts where the
printable area begins and
ends.
