OTHER FUNCTIONS
USING THE FUNCTION
The procedure which callers use for overriding the answering machine is as follows:
1. Yourcallercallsthe UX-222from atouch-tone telephone. When the outgoing message
begins, they press the "#" key on the telephone.
They will hear a short beep, and the outgoing message will stop.
2. They enter the override code and "#" using the keys on the telephone.
If the correct code is entered, they will hear one beep.
If an incorrect code is entered, they will hear four beeps. They must then re-enter
the correct code within 60 seconds, or the line will be disconnected.
3. The pseudo ringer on the UX-222will ring. Pickup the handsetto answer the call. (Note
that an extension telephone connected to the UX-222 will not ring.)
If you do not answer within 30 seconds, the outgoing message will play
againand
the callercan then leavea message.
