Press"5" and "#" to stopthe tape
when the desired position has been reached.

Whenfinished,
press "5" and "#" to stop the tape.
When the tape is playing, the only commands which can be entered are the rewind,fast-forward, or
stop commands. To enter any other commands, first enter the stop command, then the desired
command.
If >*OU e nter the rewind or fast-forward command while the tape is piaying, it will wind to the
beginning or end, respectively, of the current message.
To make the tape rewind or fast-for-ward continuous!?'when it is playingt first enter ~he SIOP
command, then enter the rewind orfast-forward command.

to your messages, you can also do any of the operations described below by pressing
the appropriate keys on the telephone.
c You must begin the operation within 60 seconds after you hear the long beep
following the playback of your messages. (If more than 60 seconds elapses, you
will be disconnected).
CHANGING THE ANSWERING MACHINE MODE
1. Select a new answering machine mode by entering one of the following commands
(press the keys on the telephone):
VOICE & F.AXmode: "l", "l", and "#"
VOICE mode: "l", "2",and "#"
FAX mode:
"l", "3", and "#"
2. When you hear a short beep, hang up.

This operation can also be done when the reception mode has been set to far mode. In this case,
call the UX-222, press the "#"key immediately after it answers, enter yolir remote code number,
and then enter the desired command as shown below.
The machine ~ti'ill n ot accept any remote commands when the reception mode is set to telephone
mode. If you change the reception mode to telephone mode. you ~~'ill not longer be able to pe~orm
any remote operations.
