2. Touch the field and type text to display on the lock screen. The text will be displayed on
the lock screen when the Show owner info on lock screen check box is selected.
Encryption
You can encrypt your phone and the SD card installed in your phone. For both encryption and
decryption, you need to enter a PIN or password for the screen lock. To set up a PIN or
password, see

Warning:
Once the encryption is performed, it cannot be undone. The process to remove
the encryption will be a factory data reset for the phone and a formatting for the
SD card, which will delete all the data on the phone and the SD card.
Warning:
Refrain from using the phone, including removing the battery and the SD card,
during the encryption process as some or all of your data will be lost if the
encryption process is interrupted.
1. Charge the battery first.
2. With your phone connected to the power source, press Home
System settings > Security > Encrypt data.
3. Select the target to be encrypted from Phone & SD card, Phone, or SD card.
4. Read the message and touch Next.
5. Enter a PIN or password and touch Next.
6. Read the message and touch Encrypt.
Set Up SIM Card Lock
Protect your SIM card with a PIN.

Press Home
2.
Select the Lock SIM card check box.
3.
Enter your SIM PIN and touch OK.
4.
To change the SIM PIN, touch Change SIM PIN.
5.
Enter a new PIN and touch OK.
Make Passwords Visible
You can hide your password or PIN number as you type it.

Press Home
2.
Clear the Make passwords visible check box.
