Driving the Riding mower
Forward
Keepall movement o f the drivecontrol leversslowand smooth.
Abrupt movement o f the controlleverscan affectthe stabilityof the
riding mowerand couldcause the ridingmowerto flip over,which
may resultin seriousinjury or deathto the operator.
Slowlyand evenlymovebothdrive controlleversforward.The
riding mowerwill startto moveforward.See Figure14.

riding mowerwill increase.

Toslow the ridingmowermovethe controlslever rearwardto
attainthe desiredspeed,or movethe leversto the neutralposition
to stop the ridingmower.
Alwaysmaintainyourgraspon the drivecontrollevers.Donot release

gradual'U' turns wherepossible.Sharperturns increasethe possibil-

Toturn the riding mowerwhiledrivingforward,movethe controllevers
as necessarysothat one leveris rearwardd the other.The riding
mowerwill turn in the directionof the rearwardcontrol lever.
