    CUTTING BLADES Toplacethe newbelt, begin by routingthe belt aroundthe two outerspindlepulleysas shownin Figure15. Shutthe engineoff and removeignitionkey beforeremovingthe cuttingblade(s)for sharpeningor replacement. P rotectyourhands usingheavy gloveswhengraspingthe blade. Periodically inspectthe blade and/orspindlefor cracksor damage, especiallyafter you'vestrucka foreignobject.Do notoperatethe machineuntil damagedcomponentsare replaced. To removethe blades,proceedas follows: Removethe deck from beneaththe tractor,(referto CuttingDeck Removal e arlierin this section)then gentlyflip the deck overto exposeits underside.
