There are two ways to connect your Cable Box/DBS to theVCR.With this connection:
• You may view anychannel.
• You must select channels at the Cable Box/DBS.Channelscannot be changedat theVCR.
• You may not view a channelother than the one you are recording.
• You may not set up channels at theVCR.
• You canonly programa timer recording for one channelat a time. Set theTV and theVCR to the Cable
Box/DBS output channel(channel 03 or 04), and set your Cable Box/DBSto the channelyou want to
record.When you enter the channelyou want to record in a timer recording, selectchannel03 or 04
(the Cable Box/DBSoutput channel).(This is step 3 on page36.) Leavethe Cable Box/DBS on for a timer
recording.

Connect a Cable signal to the IN jack on the Cable 13ox/DBS.

Use an EF coaxialcable (supplied)to connectthe OUT jack on
the Cable Box/DBSto the ANT(enna) IN jack on theVCR.

Use a secondRF coaxialcable to connectthe RF OUT jack on the
VCR to the TV'sANTENNA IN jack.
Recording/Viewing Any Channel

With theVCR on and inVCR position (theVCR light will appear
on the display panel), use the CH(annei) A/Y buttons to set the
VCR to the Cable Box/DBS output channel (channel 03 or 04).

Set the TV to the same channel to whichyou set the VCR.
