MAINTENANCE
CHUTEROTATION MOTORADJUSTMENT
If theelectricchuterotatordoesnotfunctionproperly, c hecktheelectrical
connections a ndthenperform theprocedure below.
1. Remove t herotatormotorcover.
2. Lubricate thechutering gear.
3. Loosen thescrews (A, Figure32) securing therotatormotorandad-
just so thatthemotorgearandchutering gearmesh.Tighten the
capscrews.
4. Reinstall thechuterotationcover.

AUGERSHEARPiN REPLACEMENT
Theaugers aresecured totheaugershaftwith special s hearpinsthatare
designed to breakif an objectbecomes lodgedin theaugerhousing.Use
of a harder grade shearpinwill reducetheprotectionprovidedbythe
shearpin.
,_WARNING:
Do not go near the dischargechute or auger
when the engine is running. Do not run the engine if
any cover or guard is removed.
Undermostcircumstances, if theaugerstrikesan objectwhichcould
cause damage to theunit, theshearpin will break. T hisprotects thegear
boxandotherpartsfrom damage.
Theshearpins(A andB, Figure33) arelocated on theaugershaft.Replace
a brokenshearpinasfollows.
1. Tapoutthebrokenshearpin witha pin punch.
2. Installa newshearpin andcotterpin.Bendtheendsofthecotterpin
down.
iMPORTANT: D o not replaceshear pins with anything other
than the correctgradereplacement shear pin. Useof bolts,
screws, or hardergrade shear pins can result in equipment
damage.
