Usin9 the Remote CoHtm
REVERSE Press REVERSEto go backwards on a videotape or disc,
SAT*CABLE Puts the remote in SAT,CABLE mode. If you set up the Auto _ning feature (Chapter 3), pressing
the SAT,CABLEbutton tunes the TV to the correct channel.
SKIP If you press SKIPbefore you change the channel, the IV waits 30 seconds and goes back to the original
channel. Each time you press SKIP, y ou add 30 seconds. PressCLEARto cancel skip timer
SOUND Displays the AUDlO PROCESSOR m enu,
STOP Stops playing a videotape or disc.
IV Turns on the "IVand puts the remote in IV mode. Also displays channel information.
VCRI
Puts the remote in VCR mode. If you set up the Auto _ining feature (Chapter 3}, pressing the VCRI
button tunes the IV to the correct channel
VCR2 Puts the remote in VCR mode. If you set up the Auto _ining feature (Chapter 3}, pressing the VCR2
button tunes the IV to the correct channel
VOL (up and down) buttons Decreaseor increase the Ivg volume.
WHO,INPUT
In IV mode, press WHO,INPUT to toggle through the available Video Input channels (ERNT
VIDI/SVIDI, VID21CVID2,and the current channel). In S/I mode, press to select available channel lists.

Button
Use the WHO,INPUT button to toggle through the available input sources (FR_IDIISVIDI,
VID21OIID2, and
the current channel) and view the content from the component you have connected to the TV.

Press IV to place the remote in IV mode, Make sure that the content
from the component is turned ON.

PressWHO-INPUT to tune to the available input source and view the component.

PressWHO-INPUT again to tune back to the channel you were previously watching.

Find Out If You Need to Program the Remote
To determine whether the universal remote needs to be programmed, turn a
component ON, such as a VCR,point the remote at the VCR,and press the VCR button.
Then press ON.OFF or channel up or channel down to see if the VCR responds to the
remote commands. If not, the remote needs to be programmed.
