RACK 5 (highestposition):
Used for toasting bread or broiling thin
non4attyfoods.
RACK 4:
Used for mostbroiling.
RACK3:
Used for most bakedgoods on a cookie
sheet or jelly roll pan, layer cakes, fruit
pies, or frozenconveniencefoods.
RACK 2:
Usedfor roastingsmall cutsof meat,cas-
seroles, baking loaves of bread, bundt
cakesor custardpies.
RACK 1:
Used for roastinglarge cuts of meat and
poultry, frozen pies, dessert souffles or
angel food cake.
MULTIPLERACK COOKING:
Two rack: Use rack positions2 and 4, or
1 and 4.

topcenterofthe
half rack.Align the side arm support be-
tween the top fourth and fifth oven rack
guides, Insert the two tabs on the back
frame of the half rack into the slotson the
upper left rear of the oven watl.
3, Pushfirmly on the top surfaceof the half
rack until the tabs slide intothe slotsand
the half racksidearm supportrestson the
fourth ovenrack guide.
4. Check for proper installation by placing
your handon thetopsurfaceofthehalfrack
and pressingdown firmly.
TO REMOVEFROMTHE OVEN:
When the oven is
cool, grasp the top
center ofthehalf rack
and pull upwarduntil
the back tabs on the
rack slide out of the
oven back slots.
I Do not usecookwarethat extendsbe-
yond edge of rack.
I For best results, allow two inches be-
tween the pan placedon the rack and
the ovenside wall.
I When opening the oven door, allow
steam and hot air to escape before
reachingintothe ovento removefood. i
I Use cautionwhenremovingitemsfrom
the half rack to avoid burns.
| Carefullyremoveitemsfrom the lower
rack to avoiddisturbingthe half rack.

BROILING
1. PresstheBroilpad.The BROILindicator
on the Broilpadwill lightand 000wilt light
inthedisplay.TheOVENON indicatorwill
light and there will be an eight second
delay beforethe oventurns on.
2. Pressthe More+ pad to select HI (high)
broilor the Less- padto set LO (low)broil.
SelectHI broilfor normalbroilingor select
LO broil for low temperaturebroiling of
longercooking foods such as poultry.
3. For optimumbrowning,preheatbroil ele-
mentforthreeto fourminutesbeforeadd-
ing food.
4, Placefood in the oven. Leaveoven door
open to the first stop position (approx,4
inches).
5. Turn meat once about half way through
cooking.
6. Press CANCEL pad. Removefood and
broiler panfrom the oven.The OVENON
indicator and the BROILindicator on the
Broil pad will turn off and thetime of day
wifl reappearin display.
I Forbest results,usea pan designedfor
broiling.
I For additionalbroilingtips, referto the
"Cooking Made Simple" booklet.
I Expect broil times to increase and
browningto be slightly lighter if appli-
ance is installedon a 208 volt circuit.
