ON/OFF button
Located on the right shoulder (A), as you look the cleaner front on. Turn
vacuum on by depressing button after plugging cord into electrical outlet.
Brush roll ON/OFF button
Press button (B) to turn brush roll on, for cleaning carpets and rugs.
(Brush roll w ill automatically stopturning when handle israised t o
upright position.] Turnbrush roll OFF for cleaning hard surface floors.
Cord Release
Turn quick release
cord wrap 180
degrees for easy
cord removal. Store
cord around cord
wraps to keep out of
the way while vacu-
uming.
Carpet height adjustment
The cleaning of car-
pet and rugs takes
place at the nozzle
{c).
When it is necessary
to raise and lower
the nozzle for vari-
ous carpet pile
heights, turn the
nozzle contTOlknob
D) to the desired
setting.
Handle Release Pedal
To release the han-
dle, push the handle
release pedai located
on the lower left side
of the cleaner when
looking at the back
of the deanen
Floor/Carpet Cleaning:
Move the handle and
adjust it to the

upright, (b) operat-
ing the cleaner.
NOTE: Rotating
brushbar could
cause the fringe of
a rug to become
tangled within
cleaner. Use caution
and turn off the
brushbar when vac-
uuming throw rugs
with fringe.
Settings
For maximum cleaning performance, the
following carpet height settings are recom-
mended.
Low setting: for all types of carpet/bare
floors.
Note: If the cleaner is difficult to push, turn
knob to the next higher setting.
High Pile: for very
deep pile carpet
where easier push-
ing effort is
desired, while
maintaining good
cleaning perfor-
mance.
