WARRANTY
Thelimited warrantysetforth below isgiven by CanonCanada Inc, ("CanonCanada")with respectto CanonConsumer
DigitalVideoEquipment ( the "Equipment") purchasedinCanada, T his limited warrantyis only effectiveupon presentation of
a bill of sale or other proofof purchaseforthis Equipment t o a CanonServiceFacilitywhenrepairs are required.
The Equipment i swarrantedundernormal,non-commercial, p ersonaluse,againstdefectivematerialsor workmanshipas
follows:
Pan: Defectivepantswill beexchangedfornew pants or,at CanonCanada's option, comparable rebuiltpants for a periodof
one yearfrom the dateof originalpurchase, e xceptVideoHeadswhichwill beexchanged for a periodof 3 months fromthe
dateof purchase.
Labour:Fora periodof one yearfrom thedate of originalpurchase,labourwill beprovidedfreeof charge by ourCanon
ServiceFacilities in Canada,
This limited warrantycoversall defectsexceptwhere:
(a)Thelossor damage to the productresultsfrom:
i) accident, n atural disaster, m ishandling, a buse, neglect,unauthorizedproductmodificationor failureto follow
instructions containedinthe instructionmanual;
ii) the use of accessories, a ttachments,products,supplies,partsor deviceswiththe Equipment that donctconform
to Canonspecifications or that causeabnormallyfrequentserviceproblems;
iii) repairsor servicesperformedby any partyother thana CanonServiceFacility;
iv) defective batteriesor anyexposureto water,sandor dirt;
v) shipping(claim mustbepresentedto the shipper);
(b)Anyserial numberonthe videoequipmentisalteredor removed,
(c)TheEquipment i s usedfor commercial, p rofessional o r industrial p urposes,
This limited warrantydoesnot coverthe cabinet(exteriorfinish) of theEquipment,media,nor doesit applyto Equipment
purchasedoutsideCanada,
If theEquipmentcontainsa harddisk drive,CanonCanadarecommendsthat datastoredonthat drivebe duplicatedor
backedupto preventits loss inthe eventof afailureor other malfunctionof suchdrive.
TO OBTAIN WARRANTY S ERVICE
ShipyourEquipment in itsodginal carton,box or equivalent,properlypacked,fully insured with shippingchargesprepaid,
togetherwith a copyof yourbill of saleor other proof of purchaseand a description of the problemto any of the Canon
ServiceFacilities in Canada,
LIMITATIONS
Exceptas otherwiserequiredby applicablelegislation, t his warrantyis in lieu of all otherwarranties, conditions, g uarantees
or representations,expressor implied,statutory or otherwise,relativeto the Equipment, i ncludingimpliedwarrantiesor
conditionsof merchantabilityor fitness for a particularpurpose,
CanonCanada assumesnoliability for special,consequential or incidental d amages,lossor corruptionof dataincluding,
without limitation,datastoredonthe harddisk driveof the Equipment o r lossthat may arise, whetheronaccountof
negligence or otherwise,from the use, misuseor inabilityto usethe Equipment ( includinglossof profit, revenue,mediaor
enjoyment)or from failureto conformto any expressor implied warranties,conditions, g uarantees or representations, A ny
recoveryunderthis limitedwarranty shall notexceedthe purchasepriceof the equipment.CanonCanadadoesnot assume
or authorizeany other personto assumefor CanonCanadaanyother liabilitywith respectto this equipment,
This warrantydoesnotextendto anypersonother thanthe originalpurchaserof the Equipment o r the personfor whom it
was purchased as a gift and statesyourexclusiveremedy.
